Oct 11, 2010 – We have been notified by CRD that they have two new Managers and have to rework the contract to fit a new format. Their time frame to finish stated as “month or so”.
I have just submitted the technical list required to the CRD for our contract. It details antenna, RF powers, type of equipment. Another hurdle over with. This will lead to the finalization of the contract.
The total rebuild of the VE7VIC tower and antenna systems are going to be tens of thousands of dollars. There is very limited funds available through our yearly membership of $30.00. You can donate using PayPal and a credit card via the donations logo on the left side of this page. The CRD is requiring the following major expenditure items:
- Electronics Professional Engineer – required by CRD (Capital Region District) Water to Certify the radios and systems. A Professional Engineer services have been acquired for certifications and meetings with Engineer to be arranged at the site shortly.
- Mechanical Professional Engineer required to certify Ice bridge wire-ways, mechanical builds and installations to meet requirements of CRD.
- Certified antenna tower installers – Arrangements are being made with a crew to do the installs when contracts signed and finished. Time frame open at this time.
